What is a RAD and why does it matter?
A Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD) is a lump sum you can pay for accommodation in an aged care home. It's fully refundable when you leave. Alternatively, you can pay a Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP), or a combination. Understanding the RAD range helps you compare costs between facilities.
