Bed Registry is an Australian platform that provides live aged care bed vacancy data to families, placement advisors, and hospital discharge planners. We verify vacancy information directly with every registered aged care facility in Australia — every business day — via phone and email. This means our data reflects what's genuinely available today, not what was reported weeks or months ago.
The problem we solve
The platform was built to solve a simple but painful problem: finding an available aged care bed in Australia requires dozens of phone calls, often during the most stressful time in a family's life. Hospital discharge planners face the same challenge at scale, with patients waiting days for placement while beds sit empty in facilities that nobody thought to call.
What we do
Bed Registry tracks 5,378 aged care facilities across all eight states and territories, collecting 12 structured data points per facility including bed type, gender requirements, RAD pricing, room types, specialisations, and waitlist status. Every business day, we verify availability directly with admissions staff and publish the results to our dashboard in real time.
